As my toddler and I are at the library playing, she says, “ I can’t wait for Jesus to come back.” And then proceeds to sing, “yes lord, yes lord, yes yes lord..” The good ole favorite by Darrell Evans. (I had just played it on my phone because I needed something positive and truthful in my ear!)
This all happening around 30 minutes after I had one of the worst panic attacks I’ve had in awhile.
And I’ll tell ya, as a Christian mom who loves Jesus and longs to have my heart’s desires always align with His, I also long to have the constant child like admiration, reverence and faith my toddler has for Jesus. I think somewhere along the way as we grow up..we lose that. Life gets really hard sometimes and we let the world have too much of us. So, today I’m trying to give myself grace and forgiveness for “messing up” and panicking instead of calling on the One who sets us free and choosing to be lifted and inspired by my toddlers automatic reverence for our Lord!
I hope you’ll be encouraged by my sweet little the way I am today!!
